Art Classes

Culture Craft is the perfect introduction to art and allows toddlers and children to embrace their creative side ahead of starting nursery. Each week we have a different theme and carefully planned-out class. Like Culture Kids, each class is about the wonderful world around us.

Upon arriving to the sound of our ‘Let’s Make Something Song’, the children are handed an apron to protect their clothes. The children are shown relevant pictures, are given an overview of the theme and a brief introduction to the day’s projects.

During the session, the children participate in three varied projects using a number of basic art skills such as sticking, drawing, painting, collage, printing, stamping or construction. We always use good quality, safe materials and a huge amount of time goes into the preparation, so every class is fantastic and age appropriate. It's a full-on 45 minutes! While the children are given three projects to do during the session, there’s never a time limit applied, so the children can take as little or as long with each, as it is their enjoyment and the skills that are encouraged that are most important. There are many skills developed through Culture Craft sessions and these include: fine and gross motor skills, hand-to-eye coordination, pencil control, interpretation, concentration, sharing, listening, social skills, language and knowledge of cultures from around the world.

There’s been a huge variety of different classes, and themes have included Morocco, Chinese New Year, Australia Day, St Patrick's Day, Snow, Hanukah, Christmas, The Ocean, and many more. With a different theme each week, you and your little one will never get bored.

Culture Craft is a wonderful experience for your child. They'll be proud to bring home art and craft that they have made themselves and it'll remind them of the things they learned that day about the exciting world around them.

Terms and Conditions

  • All children and all adults must be wearing socks at all times.
  • A one off registration fee of £20 per family is due at the first session along with the fee for the remainder of the term.
  • Classes are charged at £15 per session, payable termly in advance.
  • 2nd/subsequent children will be charged at £10 when attending concurrently.
  • Subscription fees are non refundable/transferable and missed sessions cannot be made up or carried over.
  • Completed registration forms must be handed in on the first session.
  • Please make cheques payable to Culture Kids.
